Gin and Crumpets on TV

If you’ve ever wondered what I would like sat on a stool trying to simultaneously look thin, interesting, knowledgeable, friendly and engaged while repeatedly saying: “It’s delicious Penny!”, now is your chance. I am one of the guests on Market Kitchen tonight (10th February) and tomorrow (11th February), 7pm on the .

As well as me squawking: “It’s delicious Penny!”, there’s Theo Randall making nice pasta, Matt Tebbut doing stuff with meat, Melissa Cole talking about beer and Penny Smith being lovely. Early evening entertainment assured.

You will come across just wonderful I am sure.

I mean you didn’t utter anything like “oooh that warms the cockles of me ‘art” did you?

    Because I did…..

    *shakes head sadly*

I did guess that a bee makes a 1lb of honey in its lifetime. It doesn’t. Not even close. And we had to film that section three times – after the first time I knew it was wildly wrong. Why didn’t I just change my guess? *slaps forehead*

I was not made for TV either – I was so interested in watching everything that was going on I completely forgot to engage. The best part was having the make up lady rush over to fix my lippy each time I ate something!

The make up lady was the highlight for me too, not least because I had changed moisturiser a few days before with the result that all the skin peeled off my nose. I walked into the make up room and the lady involuntarily let out an “ooh” when she saw me. `she promised she was a miracle worker and it seemed like she was. I didn’t look like I had leprosy anymore, at any rate.

Nah, you didn’t look like you had leprosy, maybe scabies :-D)

More seriously, I have totally sky-plussed this and will watch while snarfing my Indian takeaway tomorrow night!

I caught you in action – my google reader alerted me to your appearance as i happened to be in front of the telly. To be honest I didn’t even know that channel existed. Anyway I thought you were splendid, another step to world domination.

Shame, not only was I forced to be busy writing a paper, I also don’t have any fancy TV channels. I wonder if those of us left behind will ever have the chance to watch it somewhere? Will the people who have taped it share?
