with chorizo and sherry

A great evil is upon us: the evil of the Brussels sprout. wouldn’t be without a giant serving dish of miniature brassicas being brought to the table and then being politely ignored for as long as possible.

Normally I do my best to avoid the sulphurous little devils, but it’s the season of good will and joy to all men/vegetables, so I’m doing my best to like them. To aid me on my journey towards Brussels love, I’m relying on butter, chorizo, sherry and almonds. It seems to help and if you’d like the recipe, nip over to now by clicking here.

A very Merry Christmas and a Brussels sprout to you all.

  2. Oooh your sprouts look good! We had ours this Christmas with pancetta, roasted chestnuts and a splash of white wine – delish…

Pork and nuts, in all formats, work so well with Brussels. With them, the sprouts seem a bit under dressed.
